Kano Pillars technical adviser, Abdu Maikaba, says he is delighted with the team’s preparation for the new season.

The Sai Masu Gida defeated Katsina United 2-1 in their recent pre-season friendly on Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

Maikaba said the players performed to the standard that is required in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

“The game was difficult for the players because of the standard of the opposition,” he stated.

“They managed the pressure well and they were able to win the at the end of the day.

“I’m delighted with the performance as it’s the standard required in the NPFL.”

Kano Pillars will kick off their campaign for the new season with an away game against Sunshine Stars.
